promaster

what I wear most...

Take a Duratech Titanium solid-back case, add a sapphire cyrstal, add 200m water resistance, add Eco-Drive (solar-powered with 6 months power reserve), now add a perpetual calendar that doen't have to be adjusted until the year 2100.

Now make it understated, oh, and under $10,000, please.  How about under $400?

This watch does what I need consistantly, and is so strong and light it has become my daily wearer.  In some circles it has been named the Tough Watch.  It was offered with a blue face, too.  The blue face has texture, whereas this is smooth (the eco circuitry is almost impossible to see unless you hold it to your face) and I liked the neutral white on black with a dash of red on the second hand.  But the blue called to me, so I bought it for my wife.

Plenty of bands work well with it.  Which is good b/c the only weak spot in the stock offering is the original band.  It is Ti, Duratech Ti, which is very very scratch resistant, and light.  But the joints of the middle links seemed to catch my arm-hair, only occaisionally, but enough to be noticed.  That led me to a Hirsch Carbon strap, which is how I wear it to this day:
